Jim Morvay is a self-taught artist. Born in 1971 in a small town in Pennsylvania, Jim took to art as soon as he was able to hold a crayon. Throughout his childhood, Jim developed an appreciation for creativity and self-expression. He would often take to a quiet place, sit and draw anything that came to mind. Years of artistic expression made it clear that Jim's life would be centered upon his passion for art and design and it showed through his ability to excel at everything from basic line drawings to paints, watercolors and finally digital art.

After high school, Jim joined the United States military but after an unfortunate career demise, Jim made the decision to pursue design through formal education.  Graduating from PTI in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jim found a perfect balance between art and design.  Throughout the years, Jim has been employed by some of the best design firms in the country and all the while, Jim gained the experience necessary to become sucessful.

Although Jim would still consider his work amateur in nature (being the humble guy he is), he's taken the approach of try everything once and see where it takes him.  So far, Jim is accomplished in Technical Design Techniques for industry and infrastructure, photography ranging from personal portraits to the offbeat, and finally, design with regards to sci-fi and fantasy through the digital art medium which is a fast growing technique in the current digital age.

Armed with his trusty camera and laptop, he can make big things happen at a mometns notice.  His ability to think quick on his feet has helped him achieve not only personal goals and achievements, but also help others think through the design process and provide the necessary elements for successful project completion.
